James has been with the School of Professional Communication since the launch of its Master of Professional Communication program in 2010. In his role as Media and Instructional Technology Technician, he assists ProCom students, faculty and staff with their course-related technology needs. James regularly leads software tutorials on media production tools and holds training sessions in many of the Rogers Communications Centre's labs. He is also responsible for building and maintaining the School's media production technology solutions, including the ProCom fleXlabs and ProCom Practicum Centre.
James holds a BA in Radio and Televisions Arts from Ryerson University. He also holds an MA in Communication and Culture (York and Ryerson Universities). His graduate research examined the intersection of physical space and the Facebook Mobile app. James' work discussed to what extent Facebook Mobile created a distributed labour network capable of extending Facebook's virtual influence into physical space.
