Prospective students gained insight into all aspects of the MPC Program at Info Night. From a top-down guide to the Program to career prospects and tips from alumni, attendees discovered what defines Canada’s premier MPC Program.
Dr. John Shiga explained in his presentation that the MPC program makes graduate education more career-oriented through combining academic rigour with practical education. Alumna Zandra Alexandra joined Dr. Shiga, describing her own experience and emphasizing the rapid change of the communications field, the dynamic career she enjoys post-MPC as a Media Relations Officer, and the entrepreneurial success of her cohort.
Would-be MPC students learned about the invaluable real-world experience offered through internships with an array of high-profile clients, as well as through work opportunities with the Centre for Communicating Knowledge. Other topics included the benefits of the program, the unique and active learning spaces and scholarship opportunities.
